One would think that setting the clock on a car stereo would be simple. It’s not so simple on the Pioneer DEH-1700. It took me a while to figure it out. Here are the steps.
- Turn the stereo off by pressing and holding the “SRC” button.
- Once powered off, press and hold the “Audio” button until the hour in the time starts to flash.
- Use the volume buttons to change the time. Press the select buttons to change between hours and minutes.
- Once set to the desired time, press the “Clock” button in the upper-left corner.
You have successfully set the time on the Pioneer DEH-1700 car stereo.

I have watched this same video at least 3 times in the last 2 years. Just can’t retain this info. Maybe at 53 years old my brain is being particular. Actually I think it’s just deleting things randomly. I thought it was funny….I think. Either way thanks for the post. I have it bookmarked.
